Exhibition “I dared to praise…”

The figure of Eleftherios Venizelos has at times inspired visual artists and engravers, and has been depicted on utilitarian and non-utilitarian objects, on textiles, folk lithographs and other types of art.
Part of this material was presented in the exhibition “I dared to praise…”, curated by art historian Louisa Karapidaki, at the Delphi Conference Centre from 21 December 2014 to 30 January 2015.
The exhibits came from the General State Archives, the Eleftherios Venizelos Foundation, the Nikitas and Evangelia Stavrinakis Collection, the Alpha Bank Collection, the Library of the Hellenic Parliament, as well as from various private collections and museums.
