The website https://eccd.gr/ (from hereon after called “Website”) is owned and administrated by the European Cultural Centre of Delphi (E.C.C.D.) (hereinafter referred to as “Delphic Centre or Centre”) is a corporate body under private law and was founded in 1977. It operates under the supervision of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and the auspices of the Council of Europe. The Centre is based in Athens (Frynichou 9, Plaka, P.C. 105 58, tel: +30 210 3312781-5, email: [email protected]) with activity in Athens and Delphi, where the Delphi Conference Centre hosts conventions and operates a guest house.

By accessing this Website and using its services, the User unequivocally agrees to these Terms of Use that apply for the content (including landing pages, images, graphs, documents, photos, videos, and/or files, source code), the services, the protection of personal data, electronic communications, and intellectual property. 

We advise you to carefully read the Terms of Use and, if you disagree, to abstain from accessing the Website.

These Terms of Use are supplementary to E.C.C.D. Privacy Policy and other supplement policies which govern the access and use of the services the Website provides.

Minors can access and visit this Website under the supervision of a parent or guardian who can understand and accept the Terms of Use. In addition, the website administrators have no statutory liability if users under the age of 16 (or under 15 if the User is a Greek citizen) access the Website, its content, and services.

PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

WEBSITE CONTENT

The Website provides information about the E.C.C.D., its purposes, operation and facilities, announcements, news, and descriptions of its activities (conferences, seminars, educational programs, etc.). The Website also presents publications, artworks belonging to the Centre’s Collections, artworks available for sale, and a Video Library where all or part of the Centre’s events are posted. A section is dedicated to the Association of “Friends of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi where you can find the contact details, registration, and subscription. 

REGISTRATION TO EVENTS

This Website may contain online or downloaded registration forms for event participation. You are requested to review the Event and Attendance Terms and Conditions, which you can find in the Privacy Policy, before you fill out a registration form. The submission of registration is considered as acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. The User is obliged to provide all the personal information required accurately.

CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The Website is used “as is”. The administrators take all measures to prevent unauthorized users to modify, alter, or intervene in its content. 

All content on the Website (including but not limited to logos, brand names, photos, texts, videos, documents, online forms, and in general all files and source code) is subject to copyright by the E.C.C.D., or third copyright holders, under the Greek, European and international legislation, unless otherwise is specified.

The content of the Website may not be wholly or partially traded, copied, modified, reproduced, in any way and by any means and by any user. Any use of the Website and its content, including but not limited to copying, reproduction, storage, transfer, modification, republication in any manner or means, is permitted with the prior explicit and written consent provided by the E.C.C.D. or third parties holding intellectual property rights.

The User can use (print, copy, store) selected abstracts from the Website for personal domestic use, not for commercial use, and only for lawful purposes. The ability to use said content for personal use does not mean that the Centre grants intellectual property rights. If the User wishes to use certain parts or elements of the Website, it is obliged to cite the source of the content.

USER’S OBLIGATIONS

The Users accept and agree that they will use this Website lawfully and appropriately and will abstain from unlawful and illegal activities such as: 

  • Use and access the Website and its content to cause harm to the Website, the Company, administrators, and any other third party.
  • Upload illegal content.
  • Violate third-party rights (i.e., intellectual property, personality, privacy).
  • Mislead others for the source of the content of the Website.
  • Endanger the security of the network.

  • Block other users from accessing the Website or any service hosted in the Centre’s network.

The User is solely responsible for any damage caused to the Centre, to the administrators or third parties, and for compensating the E.C.C.D. and any other third persons or parties for damages due to the unlawful use of the Website and the breach of the Terms of Use. The User agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Centre from and against any claims, actions, or demands, including reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from the User’s breach of the Terms of Use. 

The Users are responsible for protecting their data on the devices they attempt to access the Website.

DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY

The E.C.C.D. shall make every effort for the content and relevant information to be accurate, up-to-date, and complete. In case of errors, miscatalogued information, or technical inaccuracies, the Centre reserves the right to amend, correct, update, and delete its content or any part thereof without prior notice. Prices or availability information is subject to change without notice. The Website may contain information provided by third parties. The Centre cannot guarantee such information’s accuracy, completeness, suitability, or reliability and is not responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in any information such third parties provide.

The Centre cannot guarantee that the services and functions of the Website and servers will be uninterrupted, without any bugs, viruses, or malware free, regardless of whether this applies to the Website, or any other website or server used to transmit the content. 

The Centre bears no responsibility for indemnifying any damage caused by Users or other third parties due to use, copying, or falsifying its content or any linked websites. 

The Centre is not responsible for any damage (direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential) that the User of the Website and its services may suffer from the use or inability to use it, from delays in its use, from system failures or omissions, regardless of cause, such as indicatively failures of the User’s telecommunications equipment or quality of internet connection.

The E.C.C.D. reserves the right to make changes or updates to the Site without prior notice. The administrator shall post the revised version of the Terms of Use on this webpage.  

The Centre may terminate this Website at any time. Upon termination, you agree to cease using the Website and its services. In this case, the Centre shall have the right to terminate any access and use of the Website immediately. The provisions of sections relating to Disclaimers and Limitations to Liability, Applicable Law and Competent Courts, and Indemnification shall be in effect after the termination of this agreement.

APPLICABLE LAW

Any action, proceeding, dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these sites or these Terms of Use, or any services offered on or accessed via the Website, shall be governed by the legislation of Greece. The competent courts are the courts of Athens, Greece.
