The film 2,500 years since the Battle of Marathon is a film-documentary by Maria Hatzimichali- Papaliou, texts by philologist and professor of the University of Ioannina, Fanis Kakridis.

It was shot at the venue of the Battle of Marathon and used the archives of the director of the film from Persepolis and many archaeological museums of Greece.

The film is a co-production of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi and Positive Production Ltd company, sponsored by the Bank of Cyprus and the Domaine Hatzimichalis.

It was first presented in Delphi during the international symposium Marathon: The day after.
