Ancient Drama

On Friday 20 January at 12.30 pm at the Basil and Elise Goulandris Foundation, the Greek edition of the new publication of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi, “The Ancient Drama at Delphi” was presented. The presentation was attended and addressed by the Minister of Culture and Sport, Mrs Lina Mendoni.

For almost three decades, Delphi has been a reference point for ancient drama and the fourteen international meetings on ancient drama organised by the European Cultural Centre of Delphi have successfully combined scientific research and study of ancient drama with theatrical practice and education.

The book was printed by AGRA Publications and its publication was made possible by the generous support of the Cultural Development Organization of the Region of Central Greece. It includes original articles by important directors, theatre critics and university professors who took part in the Ancient Drama meetings, as well as rich archival and photographic material. It also includes, in a special section, a complete and detailed listing of all events per year.
