As part of the Kapodistrias Residential Fellowship, a joint initiative of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi and the Science and Research Centre Koper (ZRS Koper), Slovenia, applications are now open for the 2026–2027 cycle.
The Fellowship honours the memory and European legacy of Ioannis Kapodistrias by fostering international academic cooperation, cross-border mobility, and dialogue among diverse intellectual and cultural traditions across the Mediterranean and Europe.
The programme is open to early-career as well as established scholars in the humanities, particularly in the fields of philosophy, history, comparative literature, and religious studies, as well as to researchers working on questions of cultural and intellectual exchange in the Mediterranean and beyond.
The selected Fellow will spend one month in residence at the historic Palazzo Tiepolo-Gravisi in Koper, Slovenia, benefiting from access to the research facilities and academic community of ZRS Koper. The European Cultural Centre of Delphi will cover the Fellow’s travel expenses, thereby actively supporting international scholarly mobility and the creation of new bridges of cooperation and intellectual exchange.
The deadline for applications is 1 August 2026, while the residency may take place between November 2026 and July 2027.
