The director of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi (ECCD), Prof. Andreas Gofas, welcomed yesterday, 17/10, Heike Wermer, Romina Plonsker and Vanessa Odermatt, members of the parliamentary group of CDU at the Landtag (parliament) of North Rhine-Westphalia at the ECCD central offices in Athens. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Greece and Cyprus (KAS), Marian Wendt, and the KAS Research Associate Eleftherios Petropoulos.
During the meeting, they discussed the founding vision of the Centre, its contribution to the cultural history of Greece and Europe, and its new goals. They also exchanged views on current geopolitical developments and how culture, and the European tradition of cultural diversity, can contribute to addressing new forms of intolerance and aggression.
