The programme of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi for 2023 was presented on 24 June, at a press conference, by the President of the Governing Board Dr. Panagiotis Roilos, Professor at Harvard University and the Director, Dr. Andreas Gofas, Professor at Panteion University.
Present were also Mr. Alexandros Sarrigeorgiou, Chairman and CEO of Eurolife FFH Insurance Group, the major sponsor of the Centre for the coming years, and the distinguished photographer and philhellene Robert McCabe, who is presenting this year in Delphi the exhibition “GREECE AFTER THE WAR. The years of hope”.
President Dr. Roilos referred extensively to the new programmes of the Centre of Delphi, which will be inaugurated this June with the 1st DELPHIC DIALOGUES under the patronage of the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
The Director, Dr. Gofas, spoke about three levels of renewal of the European Cultural Centre of Delphi: the facilities upgrade of the Delphi Conference Centre, which has been included in the Recovery Fund, the new programmes and the digital renewal of the Centre, with a new website and a stronger presence in social media.
Previously successful programmes of the Centre, such as the Delphi Academy of European Studies, the educational programme for young actors and drama students (this year with the general theme “Nature and Man in Tragedy”), the Delphi photography seminar, conferences and exhibitions, will also be organised in 2023.
